1The Service

WunderWild is an AI-powered animal identification App. You can capture or upload a photo and we will use a third-party AI model to guess the species, provide an educational description, and store the snap in your personal Collection. You can optionally share snaps publicly with the WunderWild community.

The App is provided by Wunderwild ("WunderWild", "we", "us", or "our"). Contact: support@wunderwild.app.

2Eligibility and accounts

2.1 Age

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction — 16 in some EU countries) to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App.

2.2 Account registration

To use most features, you must create an account using email, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@wunderwild.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

2.3 One person, one account

You may create only one account for yourself. We may refuse registration, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this rule or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent.

3AI identification — accuracy and safety

WunderWild uses artificial intelligence to identify animals. AI identifications can be wrong. The App is for educational and recreational purposes only. It is not a substitute for expert advice from a zoologist, veterinarian, park ranger, or other qualified professional.

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Identification results, descriptions, safety tags, and geographic regions are AI-generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.
• You must never approach, touch, handle, feed, consume, or otherwise interact with any animal based solely on an identification from the App. Some species are venomous, aggressive, electrically dangerous, disease-carrying, or legally protected. Misidentification can result in serious injury, death, criminal liability, or harm to wildlife.
• You assume all risk associated with any action you take in the real world based on content the App provides.
• The App does not provide medical, veterinary, legal, conservation, or any other professional advice. If you or someone else is injured, call emergency services immediately.

4License to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent these restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
• Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or distribute the App.
• Use the App to build a competing product or to train another AI model.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise bulk-access content inside the App.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, authentication, or rate-limiting features.
• Use the App in a way that violates any law, third-party right, or these Terms.

5Content you submit

5.1 Your content

You retain ownership of the photos, captions, bios, reports, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You are solely responsible for Your Content and for the consequences of sharing it.

5.2 License to us

By submitting content to the App, you grant WunderWild a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, process, modify (for example, resize or compress), transmit to our AI processor for identification, and — if you mark it public — display Your Content to other users of the App and on the WunderWild community feed. This license exists solely so that we can operate, improve, and promote the App. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies reasonably needed for backups, legal compliance, or content that other users have already saved.

5.3 Your warranties

You represent and warrant that:

• You own Your Content or have all rights necessary to submit it.
• Your Content does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
• Your Content complies with these Terms, including the content rules in Section 6.

6Content rules and acceptable use

You must not post, upload, or share anything that:

• Depicts nudity, sexual content, or sexual exploitation of any kind.
• Depicts violence, cruelty, or harm to animals or humans, including abuse, torture, poaching trophies, or animal fighting.
• Is hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or discriminatory based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
• Is illegal or encourages illegal activity, including poaching, trafficking of protected species, or other wildlife crime.
• Contains personal information about other people (names, addresses, phone numbers, license plates, identifying faces of minors) without their consent.
• Contains spam, scams, phishing, malware, or off-topic commercial solicitation.
• Impersonates another person, brand, or organization.
• Reveals sensitive wildlife information that could enable harm — for example, precise GPS of a nest or den of a protected species.
• Violates any law or regulation of your jurisdiction.

You also must not use the App to:

• Harass, stalk, bully, or intimidate other users.
• Collect or harvest other users' personal information.
• Upload malicious files or code.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App, our servers, or networks.

7Moderation, reporting, and enforcement

7.1 Moderation

We use automated filters (including image moderation on uploaded photos) and human review to enforce these Terms. Content that appears to violate Section 6 may be blocked, removed, or delayed before it becomes visible to other users.

7.2 Reporting

If you see content or behavior that violates these Terms, tap the Report control on the offending snap or user profile and choose a reason. You can also email us at report@wunderwild.app.

We review reports on a rolling basis and take appropriate action within 24 hours for urgent categories (threats, child-safety, illegal content) and within a reasonable time for other reports.

7.3 Blocking

You can block another user from the App. Blocking hides that user's content from you and prevents them from interacting with your public snaps.

7.4 Enforcement

We may, in our discretion and without prior notice, warn you, remove content, limit features, suspend, or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent termination. We also cooperate with law-enforcement investigations where required by law.

7.5 Appeals

If your content was removed or your account was suspended and you believe it was a mistake, reply to the notification email or contact support@wunderwild.app. We will review the appeal in good faith.

8Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and with whom we share it. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described there.

9Permissions you grant to your device

The App requests the following permissions. You can revoke any of them at any time in your device settings; some features may stop working as a result.

• Camera — to capture photos of animals for identification.
• Photo library — to import photos from your device for identification.
• Location — to record where a snap was taken and to improve identification accuracy.
• Notifications — only if you enable them, for streak reminders and account notifications.

10Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services, including Supabase (hosting, authentication, database, storage), OpenAI (AI processing), Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store), Google (Google Sign-In, Play Store), and, if enabled, RevenueCat (subscription management). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

11Paid features and subscriptions

If we offer paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, additional terms will apply:

• Billing. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms. We do not collect your payment card directly.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds. Refund policies are governed by Apple and Google. Contact them directly for refund requests.
• Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods with reasonable advance notice. If you do not agree to a price change, cancel before it takes effect.

Any active premium features are specified in the App at the time of purchase.

12Disclaimers

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The App will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available at any particular time.
• Identifications will be accurate, complete, safe to rely on, or suitable for any purpose.
• Defects will be corrected.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

13Limitation of liability

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, goodwill, or use.
• Personal injury, property damage, or death arising from actions you take in the real world based on identifications or other content from the App.
• Damage caused by viruses, malware, or other harmful code not originating from our servers.

These limitations apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g. fraud, gross negligence, or death/personal injury caused by negligence where required by local law).

14Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WunderWild and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your use of the App.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your Content.
• Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Actions you or anyone else takes in the real world based on content from the App.

We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense.

15Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, brand, logo, and original content (excluding Your Content and third-party content), is the property of WunderWild and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to our trademarks or trade dress.

15.1 DMCA / copyright complaints

If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on the App, send a notice to dmca@wunderwild.app containing:

1. An electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it.
4. Your contact information.
5. A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.

Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

16Changes to the App or to these Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the App, or any part of it, at any time, with or without notice.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top, and where appropriate we will notify you in the App or by email. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the App and delete your account.

17Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete account, or from our account deletion page. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms, risk to other users, or legal or regulatory requirements.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 5.2, 6, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, and 19) will survive.

18Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence continue to apply where they cannot be waived.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at legal@wunderwild.app. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally within 60 days, it will be resolved in the competent courts of Mexico City, Mexico, unless a different forum is mandated by consumer-protection law in your country.

19Apple App Store additional terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and WunderWild only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple; Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or third parties relating to the App (including product-liability, legal/regulatory-compliance, or consumer-protection claims).
• Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party intellectual-property infringement claim relating to the App.
• You represent that (a) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (b) you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

20Google Play additional terms

If you downloaded the App from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the App.

21Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WunderWild regarding the App.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms at any time without notice, for example in connection with a corporate restructuring or acquisition.
• Language. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is for convenience only; the English version controls in case of conflict.

22Contact
