Delete it from inside the app
If you can still sign in to WunderWild on your phone, you can delete your account yourself — no email, no waiting on us.
Open Settings
Tap the Profile button in the bottom bar, then choose Settings.
Tap Delete account
Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete account.
Confirm
Confirm the deletion. Your account and data are removed right away — this can't be undone.
Delete it from here instead
Uninstalled the app, lost access to your device, or can't sign in? Enter the email address linked to your account and we'll send you a confirmation link. Clicking it deletes the account — no reinstall and no waiting on us.
We send the link to the account's own address, which is how we verify the request is really yours.
The link expires in 30 minutes and works once. Nothing is deleted until you click it — if you change your mind, just ignore the email.
Prefer to write to a human, or need something the form can't do? Email privacy@wunderwild.app from your account address and we'll handle it within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
Deleted permanently
- Your profile: display name, email, bio, and profile photo
- Every snap you've taken, and every photo you uploaded
- Your Collection progress, streaks, and achievements
- Your likes, favorites, blocks, and reports
- Your authentication record — the account itself stops existing
What may remain, and for how long
- Backups. Copies inside routine encrypted backups age out on their own — typically within 7 days, at most 30.
- AI processing copies. Photos sent to our AI processor are deleted on their side within 30 days, independent of ours.
- Legal records. A small number of records we're legally required to keep (for example, purchase or fraud-prevention records) are retained as long as the law requires, and stay protected by our Privacy Policy.
- Species data. The shared, anonymous entries in the WunderWild species catalogue stay — they contain no information about you.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way to recover a deleted Dex — if you'd like to keep your snaps, save the ones you care about to your phone before you delete.
Common questions
Does deleting the app delete my account?
No. Uninstalling WunderWild removes it from your phone, but your account and data stay on our servers until you delete the account itself — either in the app or using the form above.
What happens to snaps I shared publicly?
Public snaps are removed from the community feed and from species galleries along with everything else. Copies that other people already saved to their own devices are outside our reach, as with any shared photo.
I have a subscription — will deleting cancel it?
No. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so you need to cancel it separately in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancel first, then delete, or you may keep being charged for a plan attached to an account that no longer exists.
Can I get a copy of my data before deleting?
Yes. Email privacy@wunderwild.app from your account address and ask for an export before you request deletion — we'll send your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
Can I sign up again later?
Yes, any time. It will be a completely new account with an empty Collection — nothing from the deleted one can be restored.
